Now the matter was very displeasing in Abraham’s eyes on account of his son.
If anyone still prophesies his father and his mother to whom he was born will say to him, ‘You cannot live because you tell lies in the Name of Adonai.’ When he prophesies, his own father and mother, the ones who bore him, will pierce him through.
And He said to him, “‘You shall love Adonai your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
“Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters—and yes, even his own life—he cannot be My disciple.
But those considered worthy to reach the olam ha-ba and the resurrection of the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage.
But stay alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things about to happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
so that all should honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
He said of his father and mother, “I have not seen them,” nor did he acknowledge his brothers or recognize his children. For they observed Your word and kept Your covenant.
“But still, you have a few people in Sardis who have not stained their clothes. They will walk with Me in white, because they are worthy.
Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering which I have commanded in My dwelling, and honor your sons above Me, by fattening yourselves with the choicest of every offering of Israel My people?
