‘We played the flute for you, but you did not dance. We wailed, but you did not mourn.’
Just as He was saying these things to them, a synagogue leader came and began to bow before Him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come lay Your hand on her and she will live.”
Then one of the synagogue leaders, named Jairus, comes. Seeing Him, he falls at His feet.
After entering, He said to them, “Why make such a fuss and weep? The child didn’t die, but is sleeping.”
So Peter got up and went with them. When he arrived, they took him to the upstairs room. All the widows were crying, showing all the tunics and other clothing Dorcas had made while she was with them.
