You are not to take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am Adonai.
And the second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
So in all things, do to others what you would want them to do to you—for this is the Torah and the Prophets.
“Well said, Teacher,” the Torah scholar said to Him. “You have spoken the truth, that He is echad, and besides Him there is no other!
And he replied, “You shall love Adonai your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
For the whole Torah can be summed up in a single saying: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
And this commandment we have from Him: that the one who loves God should also love his brother.
