“Sir,” they said, “we remember how that deceiver said while He was still alive, ‘After three days I’m to be raised.’
He will be handed over to the Gentiles, and He will be mocked and insulted and spat upon.
But they understood none of these things; this message was hidden from them, and they did not understand what He was saying.
But we were hoping that He was the One about to redeem Israel. Besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened.
