Lamentations 3:44
8 Tagairtí Cros

O God, restore us, make Your face shine, and we will be saved.

Adonai-Tzva’ot, how long will You be angry with the prayer of Your people?

Clouds and darkness are all around Him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.

So Adonai said to me: “Do not pray for the good of this people.

Then said Adonai to me: “Even if Moses and Samuel stood before Me, My soul could not be toward this people. Cast them out of My presence, and let them go out!”

How my Lord has clouded over the daughter of Zion in His anger! He hurled down the splendor of Israel from heaven to earth. He has not remembered His footstool in the day of His anger.

Even when I cry out and call for help, He shuts out my prayer.

It came about that just as He called and they did not listen, so they would call and I would not listen,” says Adonai-Tzva’ot.
