If anyone denounces his friends for profit the eyes of his children will fail.


I will show partiality to no one, nor will I flatter anyone;


“But now, Job, listen to my words and give ear to everything I say.


My words are from my upright heart; my lips speak sincerely what they know.


‘Can a mortal be righteous before God; or a man pure before his Creator?


One who rebukes a man will in the end find more favor than one with a flattering tongue.


A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his feet.


Am I now trying to win people’s approval, or God’s? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Messiah.


For as you know and God is witness, we never came with a word of flattery or a motive of greed—
