Will your idle talk silence men and will no one rebuke you when you mock?


“I have become a laughingstock to my friend, though I called on God and He answered— a righteous and blameless man is a laughingstock!


Would it turn out well if He examined you? Could you deceive Him as you deceive a man?


My intercessor is my friend; as my eyes pour out tears to God;


He has made me a byword to people, I am the one in whose face people spit.


Bear with me as I speak, and after I have spoken, mock on.


Look, you have all seen this yourselves. Why then this meaningless talk?


His soul abides in goodness, and his offspring will inherit the land.


He who dwells in the shelter of Elyon, will abide in the shadow of Shaddai.
