Then the angel of Adonai found her by the spring of water in the wilderness, next to the spring on the way to Shur.


He dwelled in the wilderness of Paran, and his mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt.


Then Jacob said when he saw them, “This is God’s camp,” and he named that place Mahanaim.


So Esau lived in Mount Seir (Esau is Edom).


Setting out from Midian they came to Paran and took men from Paran along with them, and went to Egypt—to Pharaoh king of Egypt—who gave him a house, allotted him food and gave him land.


God comes from Teman, and the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah His majesty covers the heavens, and His praise fills the earth.


Then Bnei-Yisrael set out on their travels in the Sinai wilderness. The cloud came to rest in the wilderness of Paran.


Afterward, the people left Hazeroth and encamped in the Wilderness of Paran.


So according to the word of Adonai, Moses sent them from the wilderness of Paran. All the men were princes of Bnei-Yisrael.


Now the Horites used to live in Seir, but the sons of Esau drove them out and destroyed them from before themselves and settled in their place—just as Israel did to the land of its possession that Adonai gave to them.)


It was just as Adonai did for the sons of Esau, who dwell in Seir, when He destroyed the Horites before them. They drove them out and settled in their place even to this day.
