So Abram went up from Egypt—he and his wife and everything that belonged to him, and Lot with him—to the Negev.


He proceeded by stages from the Negev as far as Beth-El—to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Beth-El and Ai,


Then Abraham journeyed from there to the land of the Negev and settled between Kadesh and Shur. While he was dwelling as an outsider in Gerar,


So when God made me wander away from my father’s house, I said to her, ‘This is your loyalty that you must show me: in every place we go, say of me, ‘He is my brother.’”


Now Isaac had come from visiting Beer-lahai-roi and was living in the land of the Negev.


wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,


The burden concerning the beasts of the Negev: Through a land of trouble and anguish, in which are lioness and lion, viper and flying serpent, they are carrying their riches on the backs of young donkeys, their treasures on camel humps, to a people who cannot profit them.


As he sent them to explore the land of Canaan, he said to them, “Go up there through the Negev, then go up into the hill country.


Turn, journey on, and enter the hill country of the Amorites and all their neighbors, in the Arabah, the hill country, the lowland, the Negev, and by the seashore—the land of the Canaanites and the Lebanon as far as the great river, the Euphrates.
