Now Saul was in agreement with Stephen’s execution. On that day a great persecution arose against Messiah’s community in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the region of Judea and Samaria, except the emissaries.

Now Saul was in agreement with Stephen’s execution. On that day a great persecution arose against Messiah’s community in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the region of Judea and Samaria, except the emissaries.
But Saul was destroying Messiah’s community, entering house after house; and dragging off men and women, he was throwing them into prison.
All those hearing him were amazed. They were saying, “Isn’t this the one who made havoc in Jerusalem for all those who call on this name? And hasn’t he come here to bring them as prisoners before the ruling kohanim?”
When Saul arrived in Jerusalem, he made attempts to join up with the disciples—but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.
Give no offense either to Jewish or Greek people or to God’s community—
For I am the least of the emissaries, unworthy to be called an emissary because I persecuted God’s community.
as for zeal, persecuting Messiah’s community; as for Torah righteousness, found blameless.
even though I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a violent man. Yet I was shown mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief,
and the grace of our Lord overflowed with the faith and love that are in Messiah Yeshua.
