When Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed. But when he let down his hand, the Amalekites prevailed.
So Joshua overpowered the Amalekites and his army with the edge of the sword.
To the elders he said, “Wait for us here until we come back to you. See, Aaron and Hur are with you—whoever has a dispute should go to them.”
You also are helping by your prayer for us, so that from many people thanks may be given on our behalf for the gracious gift given us through the help of many.
