Blessed is the one who considers the wretched— Adonai will deliver him in the evil day.
Adonai will protect him and keep him alive. He will be made blessed in the land. You will not give him over to the desire of his foes.
So Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid, for God has come to test you, so that His fear may be in you, so that you do not sin.”
If you are wise, you are wise to your own advantage, but if you scoff, you bear it alone.
Say to the righteous, he will be well, eating the fruit of their deeds.
I will give them one heart and one way, so they may fear Me forever; for their good and for their children after them.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Yeshua said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do this and you will live.”
For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on Torah, “The man who does these things shall live by them.”
“Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and ordinances that I am teaching you to do, so that you may live and go in and possess the land that Adonai the God of your fathers is giving you.
But you who held tight to Adonai your God are alive today—all of you.
so that you might fear Adonai your God, to keep all His statutes and mitzvot that I am commanding you and your son and your son’s son all the days of your life, and so that you may prolong your days.
Then He brought us out from there so that He might bring us in, to give us the land that He swore to our fathers.
“You are to take care to do the whole mitzvah that I am commanding you today, so that you may live and multiply and go in and possess the land that Adonai swore to your fathers.
He afflicted you and let you hunger, then He fed you manna —which neither you nor your fathers had known—in order to make you understand that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of Adonai.
