Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and never again will they do such an evil thing as this in your midst.
The man who acts presumptuously by not listening to the kohen who stands to serve there before Adonai your God, or to the judge, that man must die. So you are to purge the evil from Israel.
Those who remain will hear and be afraid, and they will no longer do such an evil thing as this in your midst.
