When they came to the disciples, they saw a big crowd around them and the Torah scholars arguing with them.


Why question Me? Ask those who have heard what I spoke to them. Look, they know what I said.”


As I was doing this, they found me in the Temple, having been purified—without any crowd or uproar.


For we have found this man to be a pest, stirring up riots among all the Jewish people throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Natzratim.


Paul said in his defense, “I have committed no offense against the Torah of the Jewish people, or against the Temple, or against Caesar.”


It happened that after three days, Paul called together those who were the prominent Jewish leaders. When they had gathered he said to them, “Brothers, although I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our fathers, I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
