They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet,

They replied to him, In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet:

They said, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for this is what the prophet wrote:

And they said to him: "In Bethlehem of Judea. For so it has been written by the prophet:

But they said to him: In Bethlehem of Juda. For so it is written by the prophet:

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east arrived in Jerusalem,

So he assembled all the chief priests and scribes of the people, and inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.

Does not the Scripture say that the Christ will come from David's descendants and from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?”
