Luke 14:29 - The Text-Critical English New Testament

Otherwise, when he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish it, all who are looking on will begin to mock him,

Tuilleadh leaganacha

Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,

Otherwise, when he has laid the foundation and is unable to complete [the building], all who see it will begin to mock and jeer at him,

Lest haply, when he hath laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all that behold begin to mock him,

Otherwise, when you have laid the foundation but couldn’t finish the tower, all who see it will begin to belittle you.

Otherwise, after he will have laid the foundation and not been able to finish it, everyone who sees it may begin to mock him,

Lest, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able ti finish it, all that see it begin to mock him,

and saying, “Yoʋ who would destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yoʋrself. If yoʋ are the Son of God, come down from the cross!”

For which of you who wants to build a tower does not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see if he has what he needs to complete it?

saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’

Put on the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
