The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will certainly not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread,
who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or is able to see. To him be honor and eternal power. Amen.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
For this is the message you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
The city has no need of sun or moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.
There will be no night there, and they will not need any lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light, and they will reign forever and ever.
