And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She is more righteous than I; forasmuch as I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.


And the LORD shall return his blood upon his own head, because he fell upon two men more righteous and better than he, and slew them with the sword, and my father David knew it not, to wit, Abner the son of Ner, captain of the host of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the host of Judah.


and I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame which shall not be forgotten.


And the LORD said unto me, Backsliding Israel hath shewn herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.


Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.

that thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more, because of thy shame; when I have forgiven thee all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.

but glory and honour and peace to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek:


What fruit then had ye at that time in the things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.


And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast rendered unto me good, whereas I have rendered unto thee evil.
