And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burn offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said. It may be that my sons have sinned, and renounced God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually


Terrors are turned upon me, They chase mine honour as the wind; And my welfare is passed away as a cloud.


When I looked for good, then evil came; And when I waited for light, there came darkness.


For calamity from God was a terror to me, And by reason of his excellency I could do nothing


I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent.


Ye have feared the sword; and I will bring the sword upon you, saith the Lord GOD
