And David built there an altar to the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord heeded supplications for the land, and the plague was averted from Israel.


Then Phinehas stood up and interposed, and the plague was stayed.


So every man took his censer, and they put fire in them and laid incense upon them, and they stood at the entrance of the tent of meeting with Moses and Aaron.


And fire came forth from the Lord, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men offering the incense.


So Aaron took it as Moses said, and ran into the midst of the assembly; and behold, the plague had already begun among the people; and he put on the incense, and made atonement for the people.


Now those who died by the plague were fourteen thousand seven hundred, besides those who died in the affair of Korah.


Afterward, Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse befall you.”


and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.


Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects.
