Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.


And with him they crucified two robbers, one on his right and one on his left.


And taking the twelve, he said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written of the Son of man by the prophets will be accomplished.


For the Son of man goes as it has been determined; but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!”


He said to them, “But now, let him who has a purse take it, and likewise a bag. And let him who has no sword sell his mantle and buy one.


Then Jesus said to the chief priests and officers of the temple and elders, who had come out against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?


Two others also, who were criminals, were led away to be put to death with him.


And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.


If he called them gods to whom the word of God came (and scripture cannot be broken),


I glorified thee on earth, having accomplished the work which thou gavest me to do;


For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.


Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed be every one who hangs on a tree” —
