The snares of death encompassed me; the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me; I suffered distress and anguish.
For thou dost not give me up to Sheol, or let thy godly one see the Pit.
For he has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; and he has not hid his face from him, but has heard, when he cried to him.
This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
Answer me when I call, O God of my right! Thou hast given me room when I was in distress. Be gracious to me, and hear my prayer.
