When evildoers assail me, uttering slanders against me, my adversaries and foes, they shall stumble and fall.


The wise man has his eyes in his head, but the fool walks in darkness; and yet I perceived that one fate comes to all of them.


Give glory to the Lord your God before he brings darkness, before your feet stumble on the twilight mountains, and while you look for light he turns it into gloom and makes it deep darkness.


But the Lord is with me as a dread warrior; therefore my persecutors will stumble, they will not overcome me. They will be greatly shamed, for they will not succeed. Their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten.
