He who informs against his friends to get a share of their property, the eyes of his children will fail.


I will not show partiality to any person or use flattery toward any man.


“But now, hear my speech, O Job, and listen to all my words.


My words declare the uprightness of my heart, and what my lips know they speak sincerely.


‘Can mortal man be righteous before God? Can a man be pure before his Maker?


He who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor than he who flatters with his tongue.


A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his feet.


Am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still pleasing men, I should not be a servant of Christ.


For we never used either words of flattery, as you know, or a cloak for greed, as God is witness;
