Like them be those who make them!— yea, every one who trusts in them!


All worshipers of images are put to shame, who make their boast in worthless idols; all gods bow down before him.


And he received the gold at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, and made a molten calf; and they said, “These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!”


they have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them; they have made for themselves a molten calf, and have worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said, ‘These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!’ ”


For you shall be ashamed of the oaks in which you delighted; and you shall blush for the gardens which you have chosen.


Behold, all his fellows shall be put to shame, and the craftsmen are but men; let them all assemble, let them stand forth, they shall be terrified, they shall be put to shame together.


And the rest of it he makes into a god, his idol; and falls down to it and worships it; he prays to it and says, “Deliver me, for thou art my god!”


All who make idols are nothing, and the things they delight in do not profit; their witnesses neither see nor know, that they may be put to shame.


Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Behold, my servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but you shall be put to shame;


Why have I seen it? They are dismayed and have turned backward. Their warriors are beaten down, and have fled in haste; they look not back— terror on every side! says the Lord.
