This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be made worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering—


not to be quickly shaken in mind or excited, either by spirit or by word, or by letter purporting to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.


Now then, swear to me by the Lord that as I have dealt kindly with you, you also will deal kindly with my father's house, and give me a sure sign,
