So he departed from there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing, with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he was with the twelfth. Elijah passed by him and cast his mantle upon him.


He said to them, “What kind of man was he who came to meet you and told you these things?”


Then Elijah took his mantle, and rolled it up, and struck the water, and the water was parted to the one side and to the other, till the two of them could go over on dry ground.


As Samuel turned to go away, Saul laid hold upon the skirt of his robe, and it tore.


Afterward David also arose, and went out of the cave, and called after Saul, “My lord the king!” And when Saul looked behind him, David bowed with his face to the earth, and did obeisance.


The king said to her, “Have no fear; what do you see?” And the woman said to Saul, “I see a god coming up out of the earth.”
