And now, Lord, leave me not, when I old and gray-headed grow: Till to this age thy strength and pow'r to all to come I show.


My flesh and heart doth faint and fail, but God doth fail me never: For of my heart God is the strength and portion for ever.


Threescore and ten years do sum up our days and years, we see; Or, if, by reason of more strength, in some fourscore they be: Yet doth the strength of such old men but grief and labour prove; For it is soon cut off, and we fly hence, and soon remove.
