Because him they do persecute, whom thou didst smite before; They talk unto the grief of those whom thou hast wounded sore.

For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; And they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.

For they pursue and persecute him whom You have smitten, and they gossip about those whom You have wounded, [adding] to their grief and pain.

For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; And they tell of the sorrow of those whom thou hast wounded.

Because they go after those you’ve already struck; they talk about the pain of those you’ve already pierced.

Because he mercy minded not, but persecuted still The poor and needy, that he might the broken-hearted kill.
