Before went singers, players next on instruments took way; And them among the damsels were that did on timbrels play.

The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; Among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.

The singers go in front, the players on instruments last; between them the maidens are playing on tambourines.

The singers went before, the minstrels followed after, In the midst of the damsels playing with timbrels.

First came the singers, then the musicians; between them the young women were playing hand drums:

Pour out your indignation upon them, and may the fury of your anger take hold of them.

Pour out thy indignation upon them: and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.

Since better is thy love than life, my lips thee praise shall give.

Thou art the God that wonders do'st by thy right hand most strong: Thy mighty pow'r thou hast declar'd the nations among.

There be that sing and play; and all my well-springs in thee are.
