That those who thy beloved are delivered may be, O do thou save with thy right hand, and answer give to me.


The proud for me a snare have hid, and cords; yea, they a net Have by the way-side for me spread; they gins for me have set.


When in me was o'erwhelm'd my sp'rit, then well thou knew'st my way; Where I did walk a snare for me they privily did lay.


My sp'rit is therefore overwhelm'd in me perplexedly; Within me is my very heart amazed wondrously.


God raiseth all that are bow'd down, upholdeth all that fall.


My God, my soul's cast down in me; thee therefore mind I will From Jordan's land, the Hermonites, and ev'n from Mizar hill.


From infants' and from sucklings' mouth thou didest strength ordain, For thy foes' cause, that so thou might'st th' avenging foe restrain.
