And now, O Lord, what wait I for? my hope is fix'd on thee.

And now, Lord, what wait I for? My hope is in thee.

And now, Lord, what do I wait for and expect? My hope and expectation are in You.

And now, Lord, what wait I for? My hope is in thee.

So now, Lord, what should I be waiting for? My hope is set on you.

Sacrifice and oblation, you did not want. But you have perfected ears for me. Holocaust and sin offering, you did not require.

Sacrifice and oblation thou didst not desire; but thou hast pierced ears for me. Burnt offering and sin offering thou didst not require:

I hop'd for thy salvation, Lord, and thy commands have done.

My soul for thy salvation faints; yet I thy word believe.

For, Lord, I hope in thee; my God, thou'lt hear me when I call.

Their inward thought is, that their house and dwelling-places shall Stand through all ages; they their lands by their own names do call.
