But thou art near, Lord; most firm truth all thy commandments are.


God's near to all that call on him, in truth that on him call.


He will accomplish the desire of those that do him fear: He also will deliver them, and he their cry will hear.


Those that are broken in their heart, and grieved in their minds, He healeth, and their painful wounds he tenderly up-binds.


Th' earth, as affrighted, then did shake, trembling upon it seiz'd: The hills' foundations moved were, because he was displeas'd.


A broken spirit is to God a pleasing sacrifice: A broken and a contrite heart, Lord, thou wilt not despise.


To thee, O God, do we give thanks, we do give thanks to thee; Because thy wondrous works declare thy great name near to be.


To them that fear him surely near is his salvation; That glory in our land may have her habitation.
