The Lord from heav'n sees and beholds all sons of men full well:
The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
The Lord looks from heaven, He beholds all the sons of men;
Jehovah looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men;
The LORD looks down from heaven; he sees every human being.
Which is the man who wills life, who chooses to see good days?
Who is the man that desireth life: who loveth to see good days?
He from his sanctuary's height hath downward cast his eye; And from his glorious throne in heav'n the Lord the earth did spy;
God in his holy temple is, in heaven is his throne: His eyes do see, his eye-lids try
Upon men's sons the Lord from heav'n did cast his eyes abroad, To see if any understood, and did seek after God.
The Lord upon the sons of men from heav'n did cast his eyes, To see if any one there was that sought God, and was wise.
He ruleth ever by his pow'r; his eyes the nations see: O let not the rebellious ones lift up themselves on high.
