Know that the Lord is God indeed; Without our aid he did us make: We are his flock, he doth us feed, And for his sheep he doth us take.


For why? the Lord our God is good, His mercy is for ever sure; His truth at all times firmly stood, And shall from age to age endure.


But unto them that do him fear God's mercy never ends; And to their children's children still his righteousness extends:


Give thanks to God, for good is he: for mercy hath he ever.


My cry I will cause to ascend unto the Lord most high; To God, who doth all things for me perform most perfectly.


From heav'n he shall send down, and me from his reproach defend That would devour me: God his truth and mercy forth shall send.
