In my distress to God I cry'd, and he gave ear to me.


I to the hills will lift mine eyes, from whence doth come mine aid.


I joy'd when to the house of God, Go up, they said to me.


O thou that dwellest in the heav'ns, I lift mine eyes to thee.


Had not the Lord been on our side, may Israel now say;


They in the Lord that firmly trust shall be like Sion hill, Which at no time can be remov'd, but standeth ever still.


When Sion's bondage God turn'd back, as men that dream'd were we.


O Lord, thy judgments give the king, his son thy righteousness.


And he his sanctuary built like to a palace high, Like to the earth which he did found to perpetuity.
