Mine eyes fail for thy word: I say, When wilt thou comfort give?
Mine eyes fail for thy word, Saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
My eyes fail, watching for [the fulfillment of] Your promise. I say, When will You comfort me?
Mine eyes fail for thy word, While I say, When wilt thou comfort me?
My eyes are worn out looking for your word. “When will you comfort me?” I ask,
Mine eyes do fail with looking long for thy salvation, The word of thy pure righteousness while I do wait upon.
I weary with my crying am, my throat is also dry'd; Mine eyes do fail, while for my God I waiting do abide.
Shew me a sign for good, that they which do me hate may see, And be asham'd; because thou, Lord, didst help and comfort me.
