He sent his word, and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

He sends forth His word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction. [II Kings 20:4, 5; Matt. 8:8.]

God gave the order and healed them; he rescued them from their pit.

He sends forth his command on earth, his word runs speedily.

Those that are broken in their heart, and grieved in their minds, He healeth, and their painful wounds he tenderly up-binds.

O ye that are his holy ones, sing praise unto the Lord; And give unto him thanks, when ye his holiness record.

But from hell's hand God will me free, for he shall me receive.

Wilt thou not, who from death me sav'd, my feet from falls keep free, To walk before God in the light of those that living be?
