Against his people kindled was the wrath of God therefore, Insomuch that he did his own inheritance abhor.

Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, Insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.

Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against His people, insomuch that He abhorred and rejected His own heritage. [Deut. 32:17.]

Therefore was the wrath of Jehovah kindled against his people, And he abhorred his inheritance.

So the LORD’s anger burned against his people; he despised his own possession.

Contempt was poured over their leaders, and he caused them to wander in an impassable place, and not on the way.

Contempt was poured forth upon their princes: and he caused them to wander where there was no passing, and out of the way.

O God, why hast thou cast us off? is it for evermore? Against thy pasture-sheep why doth thine anger smoke so sore?
