Like pelican in wilderness forsaken I have been: I like an owl in desert am, that nightly there doth moan;

I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.

I am like a melancholy pelican or vulture of the wilderness; I am like a [desolate] owl of the waste places.

I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am become as an owl of the waste places.

I’m like some wild owl— like some screech owl in the desert.

The Lord accomplishes mercies, and his judgment is for all who patiently endure injuries.

The Lord doth mercies, and judgment for all that suffer wrong.
