so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it.


God is not a human being, that he should lie, or a mortal, that he should change his mind. Has he promised, and will he not do it? Has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?


Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

If those to whom the word of God came were called ‘gods’—and the scripture cannot be annulled—


What if some were unfaithful? Will their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God?

As for those who will follow this rule—peace be upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

if we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.
