Far be it from you to do such a thing, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?”


For he will complete what he appoints for me; and many such things are in his mind.


He covers the face of the full moon, and spreads over it his cloud.


Your way was through the sea, your path, through the mighty waters; yet your footprints were unseen.


Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.


Happy are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O Lord, in the light of your countenance;


Mighty King, lover of justice, you have established equity; you have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.


Then the Lord said to Moses, “I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, in order that the people may hear when I speak with you and so trust you ever after.” When Moses had told the words of the people to the Lord,


Then the people stood at a distance, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.


It is an abomination to kings to do evil, for the throne is established by righteousness.


The Lord is slow to anger but great in power, and the Lord will by no means clear the guilty. His way is in whirlwind and storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.


O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
