Many proclaim themselves loyal, but who can find one worthy of trust?
A stone is heavy, and sand is weighty, but a fool's provocation is heavier than both.
We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another, and compare themselves with one another, they do not show good sense.
For it is not those who commend themselves that are approved, but those whom the Lord commends.
I have been a fool! You forced me to it. Indeed you should have been the ones commending me, for I am not at all inferior to these super-apostles, even though I am nothing.
