From the city the dying groan, and the throat of the wounded cries for help; yet God pays no attention to their prayer.
“Think now, who that was innocent ever perished? Or where were the upright cut off?
“See, God will not reject a blameless person, nor take the hand of evildoers.
Because of you we are being killed all day long, and accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
