Yours, O Lord, are the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.


“Do you give the horse its might? Do you clothe its neck with mane?


For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with victory.


His glory is great through your help; splendor and majesty you bestow on him.


Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.


The Lord is king, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed, he is girded with strength. He has established the world; it shall never be moved;


You shall make sacred vestments for the glorious adornment of your brother Aaron.


On that day the branch of the Lord shall be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land shall be the pride and glory of the survivors of Israel.


He put on righteousness like a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and wrapped himself in fury as in a mantle.


And do not bring us to the time of trial, but rescue us from the evil one.


When this perishable body puts on imperishability, and this mortal body puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will be fulfilled: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”
