Then Solomon said, “The Lord has said that he would dwell in thick darkness.


Thick clouds enwrap him, so that he does not see, and he walks on the dome of heaven.’


He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light by night.


Clouds and thick darkness are all around him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.


Then the people stood at a distance, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.


No one shall come up with you, and do not let anyone be seen throughout all the mountain; and do not let flocks or herds graze in front of that mountain.”


It is he alone who has immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see; to him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
