My relatives and my close friends have failed me;


Even young children despise me; when I rise, they talk against me.


Such you have now become to me; you see my calamity, and are afraid.


My friends and companions stand aloof from my affliction, and my neighbors stand far off.


But you, O Lord, be gracious to me, and raise me up, that I may repay them.


Even my bosom friend in whom I trusted, who ate of my bread, has lifted the heel against me.


My companion laid hands on a friend and violated a covenant with me


You have caused my companions to shun me; you have made me a thing of horror to them. I am shut in so that I cannot escape;


but Jesus said to him, “Judas, is it with a kiss that you are betraying the Son of Man?”
