They are thrust from light into darkness, and driven out of the world.


Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward heaven so that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, a darkness that can be felt.”


So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was dense darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days.


The wicked are overthrown by their evildoing, but the righteous find a refuge in their integrity.


An oracle concerning the animals of the Negeb. Through a land of trouble and distress, of lioness and roaring lion, of viper and flying serpent, they carry their riches on the backs of donkeys, and their treasures on the humps of camels, to a people that cannot profit them.
