He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, following the abominable practices of the nations that the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.


Your wickedness affects others like you, and your righteousness, other human beings.


Dead flies make the perfumer's ointment give off a foul odor; so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor.


If the iron is blunt, and one does not whet the edge, then more strength must be exerted; but wisdom helps one to succeed.


Then I saw that wisdom excels folly as light excels darkness.
