The king also said to Shimei, “You know in your own heart all the evil that you did to my father David; so the Lord will bring back your evil on your own head.


Do not give heed to everything that people say, or you may hear your servant cursing you;


All this I have tested by wisdom; I said, “I will be wise,” but it was far from me.


For out of the heart come evil intentions, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, false witness, slander.


With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse those who are made in the likeness of God.
